So how does this work then?
Firstly upload your main logo image. Ideally it's a 512px square image with a transparent background, if you set a background colour behind the default badger you'll see the idea. If the image is a bit too small or too big you can play with the Logo Scale slider to make it fit.
Secondly decide on your Arch and Sling text, Arch goes over the top and Sling underneath. The Arch text will be the same for all badges when you grab the PDF. If there's only one line in the Sling text box then that will be the same for all badges, but if you for instance grab the list of attendees from the FevGames sign-up page for a first Saturday and paste it in then you'll get a badge for each line instead.
Text colour next. Black is always good, but if you are creating artwork for a shirt and said shirt is black (as teeshirts should be of course) then you may want to pick something that will be a bit more legible.
Background colour. Pick something that looks good behind your logo or, if it doesn't have the suggested transparent background, make it match.
Mask Active and Mask Colour. If you have used a photo for your logo it's probably square and extends under the two text ribbons which doesn't always look good. Tick the Mask Active button and you'll get a band under the text that fades into the image. Once it's active (but not before) you can pick a colour that looks works with the logo.
Happy with your design? The grab your results. The three PDF buttons will give you A4 pages you can print, cut out and put through your badge press. The PNG button gives you an image for whatever purposes you may desire. If you've used the mask option you may need to do a bit of post-mangling first, but I've used the resulting image to get shirts made.
